There are 2 types of Oil Tanks that are installed for storing heating oil, either a Single Skin Oil Tank or a Bunded Oil Tank.

A Single Skin Tank offers no protection from leaks if the tank splits or becomes damaged where as a Bunded Tank is simply a tank within a tank and is capable of holding 110% of the tanks contents.

A Bunded Oil Tank offers the owner considerable protection from a corroding, damaged or faulty tank from leaking oil and causing an expensive loss of heating oil and an environmental issue which could bring a substantial fine for pollution. (Single Skin Tanks are slowly being fased out by suppliers)

TITAN

Titan Environmental is the UK market leader in oil and fuel storage tanks. With four distinct ranges Titan has a tank available for any application. The range starts with standard single skin tanks and moves on to feature packed Talking Titan single skin tanks, Ecosafe Bunded tanks and the award wining Fuelmaster Bunded fuel storage and dispensing system. Talking Titan Tanks are feature packed systems designed mainly for domestic applications where Ecosafe is not a legal requirement. These tanks are supplied with the Watchman electronic oil monitoring system, which eliminates the need for a traditional sight gauge. The Watchman allows the householder to monitor the fuel level in the tank from the comfort of the home. If required, the system can automatically alert your fuel supplier that the level is low.

Ecosafe Bunded oil storage tanks represent the most advanced tanks of their kind available. Designed to exceed the latest oil storage regulations the Ecosafe tank includes a fully enclosed Bund which provides additional protection against damage or spillages. Each tank is factory fitted with the Watchman Plus ‘complete pro-active fuel monitoring system’. This technologically advanced system removes the need for an old fashioned sight gauge and also keeps a safety check on the integral bund. Now that the regulations are here Ecosafe has become established as the industry standard when fitting a Bunded tank.

HARLEQUIN

Harlequin tanks are manufactured in the United Kingdom by Clarehill Plastics Limited in an ISO9002 accredited production environment - Certificate Registration Number NQA 2400. Harlequin tanks are manufactured from Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) - a material that displays excellent chemical and impact resistance qualities. All Harlequin oil tanks are manufactured only from premium grade, new materials. All materials and components used in the manufacture of Harlequin tanks are guaranteed resistant to the potentially damaging effects of oil.

Harlequin pioneered the development of rotationally moulded liquid storage tanks. Today, at thousands of installations across the country and further afield, the advantages of Harlequin oil tanks are increasingly appreciated. From the 1098 litre 1100SLA Advance Slimline through to the 5394 litre 5400ENV Vertical Bunded - there is a Harlequin to suit virtually any commercial, industrial, institutional, residential or agricultural installation.

All Harlequin Advanced Bunded Tanks are supplied complete with Lockable Weatherproof Manhole Access, Integral Weatherproof Venting, 2" Stainless Steel Fill Point and 4" Inspection Aperture. Harlequin ENV Top Outlet Tanks are also supplied as standard with remote electronic gauge, bund warning alarm, Isolation Valve, Suction Pipe and 10mm Outlet.
